Intumescent pillows are designed for packing into the gaps around services and cable entry points where they penetrate fire separating elements such as walls and floors. They can be quickly installed in both permanent and temporary applications to provide an effective barrier to the passage of flames, smoke and hot gases in the event of a fire. They help to maintain the integrity of escape routes, reduce loss or damage to the building and maintain pressure differentials between compartments and ventilation channels. The pillows are filled with organic fillers and intumescent additives in a waterproof glass cloth bag.
