Aico show their support to Little Stars Baby Bank

Aico have recently shown their support to local charity, Little Stars Baby Bank, through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Aico in the Community.

Little Stars Baby Bank are based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and their mission is to help parents in need of essential baby items through generous donations from the community. Research revealed that a significant number of local families were in desperate need of this type of donation system and the team at Little Stars Baby Bank wanted to support this cause, helping to give children the best possible start in life. Since their creation in July 2020, the charity has helped 59 families and distributed over 2,500 items to those in need.

Aico wanted to offer their support to this wonderful initiative, beginning with the creation of promotional material, designing a roller banner. This can be used to raise awareness of the charity within the community, in the hope this will encourage more of the much-needed donations.

To further their support, Aico offered the use of their video recording equipment to create and film promotional content. Colleagues from Aico visited the charity at its Shrewsbury headquarters and worked with Leanne Simcoe, founder of Little Stars Baby Bank to create the video.  Leanne explains why she created this type of donation system and what inspired her to establish the charity. In the video, we also see volunteers packing a maternity bundle, which consist of items such as a Moses basket and mattress, a baby bath, nappies and much more.

After working alongside the amazing people at Little Stars Baby Bank and seeing first-hand how important their work is around the community, Aico donated £5,000. This donation will go a long way and will allow Little Stars to purchase more items for parents and children who will benefit from the charity’s support. Monetary donations enable the pre-loved items to be supplemented with brand new equipment; £10 could buy a parent a hospital bag essential pack, £17 could buy a stairgate for the home and £35 could buy a mattress for a cot or cot bed.

We cannot thank them enough, they have been an absolute gem with support for Little Stars from their Marketing Team helping us with designs to the promotional video and now a donation.
