Raising Standards in Compliance

As of Wednesday 5th June 2019, Aico’s BS 5839-6:2019 updates presentation is now officially Continuing Professional Development (CPD) approved. This presentation equates to 30 minutes of CPD points. CPD refers to the process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and experience that you gain both formally and informally as you work, beyond any initial training. It is a record of what you experience, learn and then apply.
The British Standard BS 5839-6:2019 covers specific recommendations for fire alarm systems in all dwellings and covers both new-build and existing properties. The standard contains a large amount of detail on all aspects relating to the design and installation of fire alarm systems but one area of it covers the type of alarm to install and the areas of the property to protect.
