Our primary aim is to make homes safer. We believe it is our responsibility to not only create the right safety products, but to also raise awareness of dangers through our educational campaigns to communities, alongside promoting best practice through our installer programme. In terms of education, we are also proud to work with schools, colleges and universities to create opportunities for the next generation to share our vision.
How we educate and Inform
Our Expert Installer training is designed to support and educate all of our customers whenever and wherever they need it.
Effective protection relies on having the best alarms correctly installed. So the free Expert Installer training scheme from Aico is designed to educate and make sure Electrical Contractors have all the information they need to install domestic Fire and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Systems.
The training is broken down into modules so you can choose the right topics for you and your team. Many of the modules are CPD accredited, allowing you to earn up to 5 hours and 15 minutes of CPD time. To find out more visit our ‘Become an Installer’ part of our website.
We have hosted several Fire and Carbon Monoxide Industry Forums all over the UK to help and educate our customers with the latest changes to the Scottish legislation and BS 5839:6-2019.
We aim to promote best practice through our campaigns, our latest one being the Resident Safety Campaign in partnership with Inside Housing raising Carbon Monoxide awareness, property access for residents and resident safety in a supported environment. Alongside our current campaigns Alarms Save Lives #AlarmsSaveLives and our ‘Why Would You Risk It? Campaign highlighting Carbon Monoxide and the importance of having a Carbon Monoxide Alarm.
Aico in the Community works with Schools, Colleges and Universities to educate and promote fire safety through fire safety awareness sessions at our Centre of Excellence.
Be Part of our Story, our Apprenticeship Scheme offers a structured and flexible approach to Apprenticeships ensuring that we provide our Apprentices with the right support and environment for learning. The Aico Apprenticeship programme runs all year round and offers a variety of roles. See our Apprenticeship page for more details
Working in partnership with the EDA helps educate our apprentices further through additional learning with the EDA modules such as Customer Services and Fire Safety and Security Systems.
